Come out and celebrate the change of season and another year in Piercy.
Development of the Piercy Community center continues to progress.
Since last year a new roof and an ultraviolet filtering system has been installed and the water is now safe to drink. Thanks to Kenny Horn for all his hard work.
The new playground, and paint on all the latest construction will be completed soon.
The Piercy Community Hall is equipped to serve as an Emergency Shelter in Mendocino County, we continue to source funding Grants. To date, this has allowed us to create a new kitchen, two bathrooms and exterior porches, steps and ADA ramp. In November 2023, the Community Foundation of Mendocino County awarded us funding to purchase a Kohler 14K generator which is currently installed and operating at the Hall, A 2500-gallon water storage tank with an Ultra Violet water purifying system and exterior solar lighting system. Future projects will include additions to the kitchen area, interior storage and a shipping container for storing emergency supplies.
From a different source, we will be receiving funds to purchase five water catchment tanks (including roof rainwater collection systems). Two will be installed at the Hall and three at the Piercy Fire Department.
