When CALFIRE inspects your home they use the following checklist
to inform you of work that needs to be done to be in compliance.
Fire prevention includes fuel reduction, structure hardening, precautions, and of course common sense.
Do yard work that requires motorized equipment early when it is cool and the wind is calm.
Be alert to sparking from dragging chains, don't park in high grass,
Treat all ignition sources with respect, and store all flammable fuels, solvents, etc. with safety in mind.
